Memory Enhancement Center of New Jersey is conveniently located right off the Garden State Parkway Exit 82 (Route 37 West). About two miles down the road, you will have to take the Mule Rd. jug-handle. As you cross over Rt. 37 onto Mule Rd., you will find our office within the first professional building on the right hand side.

Vice President

Dr. Sharma is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Geriatric Medicine. He has long-standing professional association with Dr. Joel Ross and the Memory Enhancement Center of America. In 2000, Dr. Sharma established the Geriatric Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. He started his practice after finishing his fellowship in Geriatric Medicine from Jersey Shore University Medical Center in August 2000. There, he also completed his residency in Internal Medicine from 1996 to 1999. In his final year of residency, he served as the Chief Resident of the program. He graduated medical school from Mahatma Gandhi Medical Memorial College in Jamshedpur, India in 1991. His expertise in internal medicine and commitments to the well being of his patients serve as a guidance for success in clinical studies conducted by the Memory Enhancement Center members.

Ashley Clayton
MA Research Coordinator

Ashley Clayton holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Georgian Court University with having received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware. She has over four years experience in many areas of clinical research including organizing and overseeing the collection of data, promoting Good Clinical Practices in the conduct of clinical investigations by possessing an in-depth knowledge of Institutional and Federal regulations, human subject protection, and assisting in the adherence of patients to protocol study procedures, requirements, and study visit timelines. Ashley has focused her research primarily on Alzheimer’s disease, with having nearly 20 studies to date, under her belt. Among her certifications are numerous cognitive assessments such as ADAS-Cog, RBANS, NTB, DAD, etc., training from both the National Cancer Institute as well as the National Institutes of Health in human research participants’ protection.

Ed Austin
Research Coordinator

 

Ed Austin, has over seven years of experience in clinical research, including trial conduct, safety monitoring, recruiting, data management, and project management. He has been a clinical coordinator for the last 4 years with various contract research organizations. His healthcare and clinical background combined with medical research experience serves as a solid base to provide best quality services to participants as well as to adherence to the industry highest standards. He is skilled in all study-related clinical procedures, trail project evaluation, initiation, routine and termination for Phases I-IV trials. He is involved in case reporting, tracking, data clarification and quality assurance for Phase III and IV trials. Ed has worked across many therapeutic areas including Psychiatry, Oncology, Dietary and Food supplements, Pain Management, HIV-AIDS, Cardiovascular conditions, Chemical Dependency and Obesity. He is currently a Clinical Research Coordinator for trials related to memory impairment and Alzheimer’s disease.

Divya has multiple credentials in broad range of business operations, customer focus, logistic supports, consistency, monitoring orders and contracts for compliance and performance. She ensures timely delivery trough communication and follow-up with the customers , sponsors, vendors and research team members. Her light hearted, positive attitude assures the team effectiveness in day-to-day operations and synchronizes many moving parts of the clinical research center.
